Environmentally Friendly Fabrics

Why are most of the bikinis limited quantities and not for restocking?

the reason is simple, every time Santa Monica decides to produce a bikini the team searches for the perfect fabric material, the quantity of material is limited, therefore...

not everyone will have a chance to own the same suit as you do and that's that!

What makes Santa Monica swimwear above and beyond your regular swimsuits?

Fluity-(CO2)® not only has ultraviolet protection of UV 50+ but is also free from toxic chemicals to human skin and has natural moisture absorption.

it is a tightly knitted fabric produced with elastane and biodegradable nylon microfibers, an innovative Brazilian technology.

Improvements were made to the development of nylon 6.6 so that items made from it may decompose faster after being disposed of at a proper landfill.

The new improved nylon microfiber threads are:

thinner than hair strands, because of this, items made with it have a smoother look as well as a soft, resilient, supple yet springy consistency which allows it to naturally adjust to your body.

Besides feeling soft against the skin and super comfortable to wear, the fabric made from the improved nylon has yet another feature, it also allows for better natural moisture absorption.

Rhodia®, a company of Solvay® group, is the one responsible for the research and development of AMNI Soul Eco®, a new type of nylon thread. Fluity-(CO2)® is a member of the CO2control® family, a production concept that belongs to Santaconstancia; a company whose objective is to offer products that are environmentally friendly.

Fluity -(CO2)® not only has ultraviolet protection of UV 50+ but is also free from toxic chemicals to human skin according to the Oeko-Tex 100 Class I - international standard. With technical support and partnership with the State of Sao Paulo’s basic sanitation company – SABESP, we make viable use of industrial water in the process of textile dyeing and printing, thus avoiding the use of potable water by using reusable water.
